Our Story

Welcome to Firebrook Designs. I’m Irma—the hands and heart behind this quiet Vermont-based studio. What started as a hobby rooted in greeting cards, dot paintings, and macramé has grown into a collection of nature-inspired goods designed to bring calm, connection, and creativity into your everyday life.

My art journey began with the simple joy of making things by hand—pressed flower cards, watercolor and alcohol ink paintings, mandala dot stones, and macramé wall hangings. Over the years, I explored rug hooking, sewing, and mixed media, finding peace in the process of creating. I published eight coloring books for children and adults—each one filled with animals, florals, patterns, and even reverse designs—available on Amazon. For a while, I sold handmade greeting cards on Etsy before choosing to build my own shop—a space that could fully reflect the values and style I’ve grown into.

Firebrook is the result of that evolution. A place where digital design meets handmade spirit, where illustrations of wild animals, stars, trees, and blooms become functional art—printed on high-quality materials through mindful, print-on-demand production. That means everything is made to order, with no excess waste—only intentional items created with care.

By day, I’ve worked as a human resources professional, supporting international students and navigating legal and psychological pathways. But my heart has always returned to art. Firebrook is my way of sharing that quiet, creative life with others—through pieces that bring nature indoors, add beauty to your rituals, and remind you to slow down.

Thank you for being here. Whether you're sipping tea from one of our illustrated mugs or gifting a cozy tote to someone you love, I hope Firebrook adds something meaningful to your day.
